Volvo Group President- Arrow Truck Sales in Kansas City, Missouri

Purpose of Position:

Responsible for the execution and delivery of strategic profitable growth for Arrow Truck Sales. Directs all financials, sales/marketing, strategic/tactical/operational planning, controls and activities to promote revenue, profitability, and growth. Responsible for the leadership and direction of the senior management team of Arrow Trucks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing a strategic plan to advance the company’s mission and objective. Determines progress and status in attaining objective and revise plans in accordance with current conditions

  • Full P&L responsibility of 18 branches located across US and Canada with 250 employees

  • Directs all day-to-day operations, resources, and operational management systems to achieve maximum return on invested capital

  • Responsible for the In-house finance company, Transport Funding

  • Sets long term operational objectives. Directs development and implementation of all company operational control systems, processes, policies, and procedures

  • Ensures that policies, systems, and procedures meet Volvo and Arrow Corporate Business standards short and long term objectives and regulatory compliance standards

  • Coordinates the efforts of the senior executives. Manages with the Board of Directors to develop current and long-range objectives, policies, and procedures for the organization

  • Represents the Company to its customers, the financial community, and general public

  • Directs the legal efforts to protect the Company’s right to conduct business in the states where Arrow Truck Sales has branches

  • Ensures the Company maintains high standards of corporate citizenship and social responsibility wherever it does business

  • Holder of the Company’s dealer licenses in the states where Arrow has branches

  • Collaborates with and support the management teams of Volvo Trucks North America and Mack Trucks

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field

  • MBA preferred

Preferred Experience and Knowledge:

  • 15 years of progressive financial management experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in upper management position with proven results in people management

  • Extensive knowledge of financial analysis, procedures, regulations, commercial used truck activities, leadership, and motivation
