The majority of our powertrain components are traditional combustion engines, after treatment systems, transmissions and axles however the importance of e-mobility components is growing every day.

Responsibilities / Main tasks
Powertrain Engineering USA organization has the full responsibility for the Application Center USA. Included in PE USA is also our office in Greensboro. The organization takes the product ownership role and optimizes complete powertrain systems through usage of components tailored for each application. PE USA is an organization consisting of roughly 250 passionate employees in Hagerstown and Greensboro.
As EATS and Combustion Director you will be responsible for the application and optimization of Combustion and EATS systems for the local market ensuring that all development activities within the section are carried out in line with technology roadmaps. This team will be organized in product systems including HW, SW development and engine calibration (HW, SW and DST) according to agile principles and your task will be to lead both technologies and people.
You will lead an organization consisting of approximately 45 employees. Your first task will be to shape together with your colleagues in the PE USA Leadership team the organizational structure for EATS and Combustion and recruit your management team.

BS in Engineering is required. Advanced technical or business degree preferred
10-15 years of related experience
You have a proven leadership experience
You are well experienced in the automotive industry especially within the area of forefront technology development and in the Powertrain domain
Experienced in Combustion and After Treatment systems and knowledge in engine calibration
Knowledge and experience in emission legislation and certification processes
Good technical knowledge of the market and applications
Domestic and international travel may be required
