Summary

  • Volvo Group Trucks Technology (GTT), a division of Volvo Group North America, provides state-of-the-art research, engineering, product planning and project execution to final delivery of complete products and support of the products in the aftermarket.

Position Description

  • Within GTT / TPP Project Office North America (PO NA), you will have the opportunity to be a key player in projects supporting the future vehicles, drivelines, and services in the Conventional and Heavy Duty Powertrain Ranges.

  • As a Senior Project Manager TPP PO NA and functioning as a Chief Project Manager (CPM), you will lead a cross-functional project team to deliver your assigned projects according to committed targets and agreed processes.

  • You will work in close cooperation with a variety of stakeholders and solution providers, e.g. GTT Vehicle Engineering, PowertTain Engineering, Product Planning, Complete Vehicle, Quality & Customer Satisfaction, Group Trucks Purchasing and Group Trucks Operations to secure a complete project delivery supporting our North American Brands.

  • You will be responsible for the complete deliveries and work with a broad perspective from high level prerequisites and concept development in the early phases – to the later project phases managing planning, development and delivery of your assigned project.

Main Responsibilities

As CPM, lead cross functional project team to deliver the assigned projects & report to Steering Committees and Decision Bodies

Manage project team with a complete business focus and mindset

Manage the project Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Features (QDCCF) acc. to set targets

Take an active role in developing future ways of working in PO NA projects, with an end user and customer mind set

Personal profile

You are a team player interacting through a broad network, having the skills to transfer high level prerequisites into project requirements and deliverable - as well as being comfortable to communicate and report project QDCCF in steering committees/reference group and management teams on executive level. You have the abilities to prioritize and focus the project on the main areas contributing to delivering improved TPP PO NA and North America Brands business results. You are structured, open minded and have a “make it happen” mindset. You have a good understanding of our business and the key drivers to make us succeed.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-6 years of project management leadership experience

  • University degree in Engineering or Science and/or Master Degree, or equivalent level

  • Experience in project management :◦interfacing with more than one functional area on different sites

  • Skilled in product development methodologies

  • Skilled in presentations to all levels of organizations

  • PMP Certification

  • Clear communication, verbally and in writing

  • Fluent in English, verbally and in writing

  • Management experience as group leader is beneficial
