Mission/Purpose of the Job

Secure a competitive offer for Volvo Trucks North America by managing:

  • R&D budget

  • PMR and Start cost project prioritization

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Manage the R&D budget for Volvo Trucks NA

  • Lead the Volvo Truck NA reference group meetings for Start cost projects

  • Lead the Volvo Trucks NA PMR and Project reference group meetings

  • Represent Volvo Trucks NA in applicable decisions forums e.g. QUEST, MDB

  • Secure a strong voice of the costumer in the R&D budget, PMR and PI- process

  • Actively participate in assigned project management teams and decision bodies to drive and influence plans, R&D spending, decisions, and program/project performance relative to agreed targets

  • Be the odering function of Volvo NA in projects and Product Modification Requests

PERSONAL PROFILE

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, MBA preferred

Preferred Experience and Knowledge

  • 7 years relevant industry experience in product planning, product marketing, operations or product development within commercial vehicle industry
