Joining the Volvo Group International Graduate Program means that you will be hired from day one, work on exciting and challenging projects, and start building your global network.

Through an international assignment and a global project, you are invited to experience the breadth of the Volvo Group. Together with the global graduate group, you will take part in three weeks of common training sessions in different locations around the world, all designed to help you grow – in your role and as a person.

Once you have completed the program, you will continue your Volvo career in the department to which you were recruited.

Eligible candidates must be recent (2017/2018) or expectant (May 2019) graduate. Visa sponsorship is not offered for this role; therefore, US work authorization is required.

Volvo Group International Graduate Program – Project Coordinator

Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing is seeking to hire a Project Coordinator to assist our Project Managers in organizing new and ongoing projects. This task involves developing and monitoring project plans, schedules, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. To be successful as a Project Coordinator, you will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel and Project, and have exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills. A bachelor's degree in a related field of study is required for consideration.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing, maintaining and monitoring project plans, project schedules, budgets and expenditures.

  • Organizing, attending and participating in stakeholder meetings.

  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.

  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings.

  • Ensuring project deadlines are met.

  • Providing administrative support as needed.

  • Undertaking project tasks as required.

  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.

  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions.

  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.

  • Facilitate meetings and distribute minutes to all project team members.

  • Create a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objective.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in business or related field of study.

  • Prior experience in project management.

  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken

  • Language proficiency in addition to English is a plus, both written and spoken

  • Strong team player mentality and the ability to take initiative and work cross functionally

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Project and Outlook.

  • Action oriented with ability to work on tight deadlines.
