The following position within Volvo Financial Services USA reports to the Manager, Account Resolution, and will be based in Greensboro, NC.

Intern- Account Resolution (Fall 2018)

The internship role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment, and to support/promote the student's career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study. The internship experience enables students to participate in professional activities with Volvo Financial Services by working on important and innovative projects. Internships are structured learning experiences where interns and our full time professionals work together on projects and allows students to integrate knowledge and skills in a manner that is mutually beneficial to the student and Volvo Financial Services.

This is a summer internship to start in May and end in August, at dates to be determined individually. All Volvo Group North America internships are compensated with a competitive salary.

Responsibilities

The Portfolio Analyst Intern for the Retail Operations Department in VFS USA will be responsible for pre-determined projects within the department as it pertains to Deficiency Recovery, Repossession and Re-marketing. This position reports to the Collections Manager with the VFS group and the position is located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Here is a brief description of the responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and review projects and management requests in order to develop retail operations skills and becoming familiar with the equipment finance industry

  • Assist with building spreadsheets and models for the operations team

  • Perform projects in order to simplify and streamline files

Education and experience

To be considered for this internship, applicants:

  • Must be enrolled and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Mathematics, or similar an accredited school and have completed 45 semester hours prior to the start of the internship

  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

  • Have experience prioritizing work effectively and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Must have proven interpersonal communication skills

  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Must be fully proficient in reading, writing and speaking English
