Mission/Purpose of the Job

Provide strategic planning and execution to maximize growth of Volvo Truck Leasing System (VTLS) member companies to grow the market share penetration within the lease industry channel. Design improved sales support for Volvo Truck Leasing System (VTLS) member companies within North America.


Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities

  • Provide tools for District Sales Managers, Regional Fleet Managers, and Regional Vice Presidents to prospect, market, and sell Full Service Lease, Rental, and Contract Maintenance services, targeting potential leasing customers in NA regions defined by the VTLS National Account and Multi-location Sales Program on behalf of the VTLS membership network, and Volvo Trucks North America

  • Develop, coordinate and implement strategies utilizing Volvo Financial Services, Volvo Trucks NA and their related business units to produce competitive Full Service Lease, Daily Rental, and Contract Maintenance programs which meet or exceed both customer and member expectations

  • Communicate with District Sales Managers, Regional Fleet Managers, and Regional VP’s internal and dealer sales objectives and strategies and develop business plan to measure and meet company channel profit, sales and leasing targets by region/dealer

  • Utilizing Salesforce, manage sales team’s lease pipeline and database of those prospect customers that meet the VTLS profile of proficiency

  • Provide detailed and accurate lease sales forecasting

  • Establish Volvo Business Plan specific lease and rental delivery goals for members

  • Provide coaching and training to internal corporate fleet and lease sales management with respects to Full Service Lease, Contract Maintenance and Rental

  • Actively develop and maintain critical customer and internal relationships supporting industry market recognition for VTLS through website marketing and by participating in industry trade associations

  • Budget responsibility in conjunction with approved retail sales business plans

  • Ensure dealers and field team make effective use of prospecting tools including Salesforce


Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Experience

  • 7+ years Full Service Lease/Rental sales experience

  • Technical knowledge of truck specifications

  • Sales management experience

  • Customer-facing experience in selling technical aspects of capital equipment

  • Full Service Lease, Daily Rental, and Contract Maintenance sales experience
