Volvo Group Operations Analyst in Macungie, Pennsylvania
Purpose/Description: The Operations Analyst improves work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of final repair resources, parts, materials, and equipment access.
•Prepares daily job planning and coordination of all planned repair activities
•Revises, proactively adjusts, and coordinates daily schedules with final area throughout the day
•Estimating of material and labor (internal and external) job requirements
•Developing task instructions
•Identifying tool and equipment requirements
•Developing job material lists
•Critical and Standard Job Plan Development
•Supply Chain Coordination
•Creation of stock reservations for planned work
•Assist internal material handling function in the kitting and staging of job material requirements
•Collaborates with assembly, final repairs, materials, and quality
•Planning and scheduling for shutdowns (major and minor)
•Critical Path Analysis
•Development of Planner reference systems including a file of Planned Job Packages for recurring jobs, plus labor and material libraries for each major truck variant.
•Identifies recommendations and or areas for improvements
•Detail oriented: monitoring adherence to standards and actively checking for accuracy of data received or generation before relying upon or disseminating it.
•Communication: Listening effectively, transmitting information accurately and understandably, and actively seeking feedback.
•Problem Solving/Decision Making: Taking a well-ordered approach to solving problems and acting despite obstacles, resistance, or ambiguity.
•Initiative: Taking action in the absence of specific instructions or in the absence of a specific requirement, and persevering when challenged.
•Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to manage change and coordinate the actions of others.
•Excellent computer skills; proficient in Excel, Power Point, Access, SAS (or equivalent) and Word and able to create functional reports and data bases.
•Experience in a team-based environment.
•Broad knowledge of material planning, production, and/or logistics management.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Proven ability to manage multiple conflicting projects to successful conclusion.
•Possesses strong analytical skills and demonstrated focus on process and Lean Manufacturing concepts.
Minimum Education and Experience:
•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, Business Administration degree preferred.
•Minimum of 5 years Scheduling Experience in a manufacturing environment and /or material planning experience preferred.
