Volvo Group Coordinator - VPS in Hagerstown, Maryland

Key responsibilities/Accountabilities

Individual contributor:

  • Support the VPS Manager in creating VPS route map and secure its progress

  • Support Production to implement the VPS Principles and Tools

  • Secure application of standard methods and tools

  • Facilitate and participate in internal VPS Audits

  • Support/ Lead the continuous improvement mindset ( Focused Improvement Pillar)

  • Support and coach towards a “rigor” in implementation

  • Coordinate the interface between all areas (methods, shared activities, tools, data, etc).

  • Create, train and coach local team in VPS, problem solving, tools and methods

  • Participate in improvement activities in different focus areas

Key targets and results

  • Fulfilment of financial and operational KPI’s for Coordinator – VPS such as:

  • VPS level of improvement for the plant (For example: Gold)

Personal Profile

Essential educational and/or training qualifications and certificates

Individual contributor:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field

  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to prioritize and manage projects

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Powerpoint, Word, Excel)

Preferred experience and knowledge

Individual Contributor:

  • Knowledge of VPS

  • Experience of implementation of the VPS principles

  • Necessary technical/functional/language skills

Individual contributor and managerial position:

  • Needs to have a good understanding of the Volvo Group Businesses
